Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
